Why Do You Need Different Color Towels for Detailing?

Towel color coding is an important concept for professional detailers. It's a simple but effective idea; you might use blue towels strictly for glass, red towels for polish, black towels for cleaning grease, and so forth. By using different color towels for each task, you keep the car cleaning process organized and easy to understand. Additionally, you decrease the chance that the wrong chemical is applied to the car surface at the wrong time. Accidentally wipe on the wrong chemical you could be forced to restart the cleaning process, even worse, it may damage the vehicle. For example, if you're using a harsh chemical to clean the engine bay, you wouldn't want to use that same towel to apply a finishing polish.

Why Microfiber Towels are the Ideal Choice to Detail a Car

Modern microfiber towels have absolutely become the preferred option for pro detailers. They use incredibly thin synthetic fibers that are 10 micrometers or less - 200 times thinner than human hair! These fibers are bunched together and create more actual surface area than a standard cotton towel. Microfiber blends use a combination of polyester and polyamide (nylon). The polyester is the primary material and provides cleaning and scrubbing power, while the nylon is plush and absorbent.
